No worries, we’re certified!

Officially condoms are a “medical device” and therefore the requirements for safety and quality are very high. Besides the fact that our manufacturers and suppliers adhere to all standard European regulations and requirements, we continuously improve the sustainability of our products by taking care of people, animals and the planet.

Our condoms are tested and safe to use according to EU legal requirements. No need to worry!

Our rubber plantation producers receive a fairtrade price, which enables them to reinvest back into social projects within their communities.

We don’t test on animals and don’t add animal products to our condoms. Curious to know what makes a condom vegan - read about Casein here.

We reduced the plastic in our packaging and our boxes are made of FSC certified paper.

FAQs

Why use The Good Condom?

You want to know what’s in the products you’re using for your body. You feel like the people who make your products shouldn’t be exploited. And why use animal products in condoms? Exactly. We like the way you’re thinking so we decided to launch a Good Condom that does just what you want it to do. That is exactly want you want it to be, because you’re confident about having Great Sex. Now we’ll help you become confident about using Good Products for having great sex.

Are you sustainable?

Yeah! We use natural rubber that is sourced from sustainably managed plantations in Malaysia. At the factory we work with, energy and water are used as efficiently as possible (yay, long live an economic incentive!). We limit packaging as much as possible, meaning no unnecessary plastic wraps and we removed the aluminium layer from our condom wrappers. Besides that we continuously challenge ourselves, our manufacturers, suppliers and logistics partners to find new ways to reduce our negative impact on health and the environment.

Is The Good Condom made of plastic?

You may have never given it much thought but condoms are made of natural rubber. The juice from the rubber tree is turned into latex, which is the core ingredient of our condoms. Latex is not plastic.

Vegan condom? What is that?

We hear you think, aren’t all condoms vegan?! Strangely enough, some other condom brands contain casein, which is a milk-derived protein. Casein is not only an animal product but it also elevates that horrible sour latex odour. We don’t want that! As Casein is not necessary to make a reliable and great condom we just leave it out.

What quality standards do The Good Condoms meet?

Our manufacturer has decades of experience in condom manufacturing and has strict quality control and quality engineering systems in place to meet international safety standards. Our manufacturer is certified by the following organizations: ISO-9001-2000 Certified, CE (Europe) Certification, EN (Europe), ISO (International), Afnor (France) Certification, Production for United States (U.S. FDA). European laws don’t permit the sales of condoms which are not tested.

How are your condoms tested?

In the manufacturing process there are 3 quality checks: 1. Right after the drying process a batch of condoms is tested to confirm that the machines are doing their work well. / working well.
2. Right before packaging, every single condom is electronically tested to find and discard any defects like tiny pinholes.
3. After packaging another batch is selected for final quality testing.

Behind the brand

“All products should be sustainable, healthy and fair.”

We believe all products should be sustainable. If we can make products that reduce the negative impact on your health and the planet whilst creating a positive impact on the people who produce these products, why not?

So we went shopping to decide what product to start with. We looked in supermarkets and drugstores for categories in which sustainable products are missing or underrepresented. Tadaaa, condoms! The idea for The Good Condom was born.

As a new generation is breaking taboos in a public debate on sexuality, gender fluidity and sex-positivity, co-founders Marta and Wieke have set up a brand that embraces diversity, curiosity and openness for sexual experiences.
